A zombie today is more likely going to be a mindless cannibal intent on nothing but consuming your flesh and indirectly ending civilization and our access to Hostess products as we know it. But that’s not what zombies were originally. It’s a bit scary to see how a personification of a social fear of slavery transformed into a spacy sideshow fear. But hey, you’ll have to judge the history for yourself: Are the new zombies devaluing the old?
