A coin minted more than 1100 years ago and uncovered in a field near Mildenhall has been declared treasure at an inquest.The silver penny from the reign of Edmund when he was king of East Anglia was found in December by a man using a metal detector with the permission of the landowner, the inquest at Bury St Edmunds heard today Monday.
