An international team of researchers, working with the Honduran government and its Institute of Anthropology and History, used Lidar technology to search La Mosquitia, an unexplored rain forest in eastern Honduras, famous for being the location of the legendary “White City,” or “City of the Monkey God.” Man-made ruins were spotted and confirmed by a team on the ground.
