It’s that time of the week again 🤓 – Let’s see what the world has been getting up to while sensible people have been sleeping…

This week has been another curious mix of archaeology, UFOs and ancient mysteries. While nobody has yet discovered Atlantis beneath Blackpool or photographed Bigfoot queuing in Aldi (give it time), there have been several stories that caught our eye.

👽 Pentagon releases another batch of UFO files

The biggest headline comes once again from the United States, where the Pentagon has released a fourth batch of UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) documents. As with previous releases, the files contain reports, witness statements and imagery, but no smoking gun proving extraterrestrial visitors. Believers argue the steady release of material shows governments are finally becoming more transparent, while sceptics point out that “unidentified” doesn’t automatically mean “alien.” Either way, the public archive continues to grow, making this one of the most significant periods for official UFO documentation in decades. 🧙 Mysterious witches’ marks may finally have an explanation.

Those strange carved symbols found inside centuries-old churches, cottages and barns across Britain – often called witches’ marks or apotropaic marks – have been puzzling historians for years. New research suggests that at least some of these symbols may have served practical purposes connected with craftsmanship or building practices rather than being purely magical protection against evil spirits. Does that explain every mark? Probably not. As is often the case with folklore, several traditions may have merged together over hundreds of years, leaving us with symbols that meant different things to different people. 🚀 NASA’s far-flung explorer wakes up

Far beyond Pluto, NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft has successfully awakened from hibernation to continue exploring the distant Kuiper Belt. While not paranormal in itself, every mission into the unknown reminds us just how much of our own cosmic neighbourhood remains unexplored. The universe is still very good at keeping secrets. 🌎 Ancient Americans?

Archaeologists have announced evidence suggesting humans may have been living in what is now Oregon around 18,250 years ago .If confirmed, the discovery could force historians to rethink long-held ideas about when the first people arrived in the Americas. History, it seems, is just as capable of surprising us as any ghost story. ([unexplained-mysteries.com][1])

👀 Around the community

Roswell anniversary week has once again reignited debate across the UFO world, with renewed discussion surrounding disclosure claims, congressional interest and the ever-present question of whether governments know more than they’re saying. As always, plenty of speculation – but still precious little in the way of definitive answers. ([podfollow][3])

And finally…

One thing I’ve always loved about the strange and unexplained is that every answer seems to produce three new questions.A carved mark on a cottage wall becomes an archaeological puzzle. A blurry light in the sky becomes a political debate. A handful of ancient footprints rewrites thousands of years of history. The world remains gloriously mysterious. Long may it stay that way.

What caught your eye this week?

Would you carve a protective mark above your front door? Do you think governments are finally becoming more open about UFOs? Or have you witnessed something strange yourself?

As always, we’d love to hear your stories.
