It may seem hard to believe now, but there was a time when Hollywood and comics book movies just did not get on. 2005’s Constantine is one such example. Based on DC’s Hellblazer series, the film pitted undead detective Keanu Reeves against an army of demons. Unusually, Reeves’ acting was not the main problem fans picked with the film, instead they took umbrage with his hair colour because Constantine, as any comic fan worth their salt knows, is blond.
