The long-abandoned residential complex that housed more than 200 military families at Hancock Air Force Base during the Cold War will soon be history.Demolition crews will begin taking down 78 buildings containing 220 apartments and two single-family homes on the eastern edge of the old air base off East Taft Road within a couple of weeks.
