His long-held obsession with magic and conjuring, (he was accepted into the Magic Circle), helped him with many of his inventions for researching, finding, and recording ‘ghosts’, and, drawing inspiration from the burgeoning Spiritualist movement and the works of notable occultists such as Madame Blavatsky, Price embarked on a quest to unravel the mysteries of the unknown.

During his career, Harry conducted a series of high-profile investigations into alleged hauntings, psychic phenomena, and supernatural occurrences. One of Price’s most famous cases was the investigation of Borley Rectory, often dubbed “the most haunted house in England.” Between 1929 and 1937, Price meticulously documented numerous paranormal phenomena reported at the rectory, including ghostly apparitions, unexplained footsteps, and poltergeist activity. He even rented the building for a year, so that he could research unhindered.
