“A terrifying collection of spine-chilling tales from Spalding”, Gemma King’s insight into the haunted history of Spalding takes the reader on a whistlestop tour of this lovely Lincolnshire town.
Unlike most books of this genre, this attractive little tome contains not only a fascinating mixture of local ghost tales and legends, but also reports of actual investigations carried out by Gemma and her team of paranormal investigators, all with photos and some pretty impressive historical research included for each of the locations covered.
Although I thoroughly enjoyed this book I did feel it was a little unscientific in places, and didn’t really give a neutral view on the some of the alleged phenomena described – but hey, nobodies perfect and there are definitely no experts in the field of paranormal investigation.
In short, Haunted Spalding is an enjoyable read, and I look forward to seeing more of Gemma’s lovely historical research in the future.
