When Jamie and his wife Gillian moved into the cottage in Broad Street, not far from the Brinklow Castle historic monument, four years ago they were told that a fire had destroyed the original cottage years before, leaving the chapel as the only original building on the site.The original cottage was thatched and listed, and could have dated back centuries.
