Huddersfield researcher traces Jack the Ripper’s forgotten victims

UNIVERSITY of Huddersfield researcher Charlotte Mallinson is turning Ripperology on its head.She is barely concerned with the identity of the man who slew and mutilated a sequence of Whitechapel women in 1888. Instead, she wants to reclaim the victims, turn a spotlight on the social conditions that led to their plight and restore to them some dignity amidst the endless procession of grisly Ripper tours that draw tourists to the East End.
