As April unfolds, we at Mysterious Times are excited to embark on another month of exploration into the world’s enigmas.

Spring’s arrival brings renewed energy, and we’re eager to delve into the captivating mysteries that await. This month, we’ll journey into the realm of cryptozoology, revisiting the legend of the Loch Ness Monster. This elusive creature has fascinated generations, and we’ll examine the latest sightings and theories surrounding its existence.

In the spirit of uncovering hidden histories, we’ll explore some new places on Road Trips, looking for stories, passed down through generations, offering a glimpse into the rich folklore and our enduring belief in the supernatural.

April also offers a celestial spectacle for skywatchers. The Full Pink Moon will occur on April 13 at 00:22 UTC. This Full Moon is a Micromoon, appearing slightly smaller and dimmer than usual as it reaches full illumination near its apogee, the farthest point from Earth in its elliptical orbit.

Despite its name, the Pink Moon won’t actually appear pink; the moniker originates from the pink phlox wildflowers that bloom in early spring.

Additionally, the Lyrid meteor shower is set to peak on the night of April 22 and the morning of April 23. This shower typically produces around 20 meteors per hour at its peak. The Lyrids are created by dust particles left behind by comet C/1861 G1 Thatcher.

For the best viewing, find a dark location and look up after midnight. The meteors will radiate from the constellation Lyra but can appear anywhere in the sky.

At Mysterious Times, we believe that curiosity is the key to understanding the unknown. We invite you to join us on this journey of discovery, to question, to learn, and to marvel at the world’s many mysteries.

Here’s to an April filled with wonder and intrigue!
